This tutorial will guide you to download Raw 3D Mesh data(.glb) from Google Map Server.
Before starting the download, you need to complete following the previous document to obtain the edd file.
After the download is complete, you need to export the downloaded RawGLB to GLTF and then load it.
This tutorial applies to both MacOS and Windows platforms.
Step 1 - Select Tiles Download Address.
Path to Save the files: Decide where you need to save the glb file? It is recommended that you create a new folder to save the download results.
Step 2 - Select edd File.
Search Results File: Select the search results file (.edd) saved in the search page.
Step 3 - Check Settings and Start Download
Check settings and Click Download Button
The functions of each parameter in the download settings are as follows:
MaxTry: If a glb file download fails, it can be retried several times. The more retries, the higher the success rate but the longer the download will take. The default setting is 2.
Overwrite files: Used to Control whether the glb file with the same name in the folder is overwritten during download? If yes, the existing glb file will be redownloaded and overwritten. If no, the downloaded glb files in the folder will be skipped.
Step 4 - Check and Retry Downloading Failed Tiles.
After the download is completed, it will display how many tiles failed to download.
When the download fails, you only need to keep the current download settings and click the download button again, and the APP will retry downloading the failed tiles.
